Food Matters Ltd. has tapped into a niche market with a mission to provide recipe alternatives aimed at the growing demographic of allergy-sensitive consumers. Created by entrepreneur Vanessa Tayler-Phillips, Food Matters is dedicated to developing recipes for food organizations, markets and restaurants nationwide. Vanessa, a native New Yorker, understands the necessity and value of convenient and fuss-free foods. New York City has plenty of gourmet markets with ready-to-eat meals, however there has never been a suitable prepared foods option for the consumer with food allergies and intolerances.

The prepared foods line is introducing unconventional gastronomic dishes, which bridge the gap between those who have food sensitivities and those who don't. The mission behind Foods Matters prepared food line is to create dishes that everyone can enjoy, despite dietary restrictions.

A signature allergy-friendly creation is the gluten-free eggplant and Italian sausage lasagna. Composed of ingredients such as farmers market squash, fresh basil and natural ground Italian sausage - free from artificial fillers, this dish is example of how Food Maters offers customers the luxury of picking up ready-to-eat meals, which still embody the freshness and quality found in gourmet markets.
